数字用英文怎么写
用英文写数字的标准,在汉英工程资料笔译和 英文 创作中，常常会碰到数据；什么场所用英语单词表明，什么场所用阿拉伯数表明，通常让人基本相同，现行标准语法书中也非常少涉及到该类难题。
事实上，以 英文 为汉语的我国，在撰写数据时已产生几个约定成俗的标准，现小结以下供阅读者参照。
一. 美国英国等国的出版社出版在排版设计时遵照一条标准，即1至10用英语单词表明，10之上的数量用阿拉伯数（也是有的以100为界线），这条标准非常值得大家写作时效仿。
Eg. That table measures ten feet by five.
哪个工作中台长10英尺，宽5英尺。
Eg. The traditional pattern of classroom experience at the college level brings the professor and a group of 20 to 30 students together for a 45-to-50-minute class session two or three times a week.
由一个专家教授和十名学员每星期会面两三次，每一次讲课時间45到50分鐘，是高校水平教学课堂的传统式方法。
二. 总数用阿技伯数字表示看起来更简单明了，但不确定总数、自然数用英语单词表明较适当。
Eg. There are 203817 voters on the electoral rolls.
大选名册上面有203817个网络投票人。
Eg. Nearly thirty thousand voters took part in this election.
近三万个网络投票人报名参加了此次大选。
三. 碰到日期、百分数、带企业的特殊数字，一般 用阿拉伯数。
Eg. Maximum swivel of table is l20.
操作台的较大 旋转视角是120度。
Eg. 3rd March l991或3 March l991；
a discount of 5 percent（5%的折扣优惠）；
Eg. purchased 7 yards of carpet（买7码毛毯）；
Eg. ordered 2 pounds of minced steak
（购买2磅切碎的肉）。
假如涉及到的数量和企业不是线段，能用英语单词表明。
Eg. about five miles per hour（每钟头大概5英里）
Eg. at least ten yards away（最少有10码远）
Eg. hesitated for a moment or two（迟疑了一会儿）
Eg. I have warned you a hundred times（我已经警示你是多少遍了）。
四. 在科技文章中，数据经常出現，用阿拉伯数相比英语单词阐述更有益。
Eg. The new engine has a capacity of 4.3 litres and a power out-put of 153 kilowatts at 4400 revolutions per minute.
这台新柴油发动机的容量为4.3升，转速比为每分4400转时功率是153KW。
Eg. We know that the weight of a cubic foot of air at 0oC and 76cm，pressure is 0.08l pound, or 12 cubic feet of air weigh a pound.
我们知道，1立方英寸的气体在零摄氏度和760mmHg工作压力下，净重是0.81磅，换句话说12立方英寸气体的净重是1磅。
五. 句首无需阿拉伯数，句末要尽量减少用阿拉伯数。
Eg. 4th July is an important date in American history.
应当写出The fourth of July.
Eg. 19 couples took part in the ballroom dancing competition.
19对参赛选手报名参加了交际舞赛事。
应改变成：Nineteen couples took.
Eg. 60％profit was a reported．
据报道有60％的盈利。
应改变成：Sixty per cent profit
Eg. 1345 kilograms force was applied at the center point of the bar.
实验时在杆的圆心加1345公斤力。
可改为When tested, a force of l345 kg was applied.
六. 碰到成绩，能用带连字符号的英语单词表明。
Eg. At 1east two-thirds of the class have had colds.
这一班最少有三分之二的学员患发烧感冒。
Eg. Nitrogen forms about four-fifths of the atmosphere.
氮约占空气的五分之四。
